About the role
FedTec is seeking a skilled Data Reporting Analyst/Developer to design, develop, and maintain reporting and analytics solutions that help organizations transform raw data into actionable insights. This role serves as a key bridge between business processes and business intelligence, collaborating with stakeholders, engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure reporting solutions are accurate, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to gather requirements and translate them into data and reporting specifications.
- Design and deliver reporting solutions, including dashboards, scorecards, tabular data, and visualizations.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Visual Studio, and Report Builder.
- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Validate and reconcile data across multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Identify redundant or unnecessary reporting elements and recommend optimizations.
- Perform independent data mining and analysis, interpreting results using advanced analytical methods.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service requests and reporting errors.
- Catalog, document, and maintain reporting assets for organizational knowledge.
- Participate in QA testing and support project deliverables tied to reporting and analytics.
- Provide feedback for process improvement and help define critical performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Advanced hands-on experience with SQL (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Strong experience developing reporting solutions using SSRS, Visual Studio, and Report Builder.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct structured, results-oriented business data analysis.
- Knowledge of data modeling and its application to reporting and analytics.
- Prior experience in data analytics/reporting for financial or mortgage institutions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of business processes with the ability to translate them into meaningful data insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and confidence across stakeholders.
