About the role

This is a 5-month contract role focused on performing controls for Securities Based Lending Loans and/or Commercial Loans. Responsibilities include ensuring data quality and accuracy, researching defects and deviations, and communicating observations for escalation and follow-up. The role involves executing internal controls, analyzing information, and developing recommendations to present to business clients. Collaboration with business partners is essential to drive innovation and operational excellence through process improvement and risk identification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform controls on Securities Based Lending Loans and/or Commercial Loans, including data quality/accuracy checks and research on defects and deviations.
  • Communicate observations for escalation, track follow-ups, and document all communications timely.
  • Execute internal controls, ensuring adherence to effective practices and quality documentation.
  • Develop an understanding of the control environment, analyze information, and recommend improvements to business clients.
  • Work with business partners to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and drive innovation in service delivery.
  • Identify risks requiring controls and promote operational excellence through continuous process improvement.
  • Contribute to team activities and collaborate with teammates and business partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in processing, delivery, and management of credit.
  • Strong ability to read and comprehend loan documents and analyze loans/data for compliance with written controls.
  • Experience in private client, retail, commercial, and/or corporate account management, credit administration, and/or risk management.
  • Knowledge of counterparty risk across Corporate, Private Client, Funds, Trusts, and Derivatives is a distinct advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Essential: Strong proficiency in Excel; other internal applications will be trained onsite.
  • Nice to have: AML / CIP / KYC knowledge, bank control experience, banking regulatory knowledge.
  • Sound risk assessment and analytical skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, excellent organization, and ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask.
  • PC literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Global/enterprise mindset.

Soft skills

  • Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
