Data Product Manager
About the role
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Data Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of enterprise data products and platforms. The ideal candidate will combine product management expertise with a strong understanding of data ecosystems, partnering with business and technology teams to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions that support analytics, reporting, machine learning, and strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise data products
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from discovery and prioritization through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement
- Partner with Data Engineering, Software Engineering, and Analytics teams to develop scalable data platforms, pipelines, and services
- Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications
- Prioritize and manage product backlogs based on business value, customer needs, technical complexity, and organizational priorities
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to data quality, reliability, accessibility, adoption, and business impact
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and enterprise data capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related technology role
- Experience managing enterprise data products, data platforms, data warehouses, or data lakes
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration concepts
- Experience partnering with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Analytics teams
- Strong stakeholder management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AWS or other cloud-based data platforms
- Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling principles
- Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, metadata management, or data lineage
- Experience supporting analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), or machine learning initiatives
- Financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industry experience
- Agile, Scrum, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or other Product Management certifications
- Experience defining product success metrics and leveraging data-driven insights for decision-making

Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is between $70.00 and $77.00 per hour. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
