Data Platforms Software Engineer

About the role

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging, and pharmaceutical research.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify product conformance using engineering drawings, specifications, route sheets, and work instructions.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using calibrated measuring equipment.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material.
• Initiate and process nonconformance reports as required.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Verify completion of required manufacturing and inspection records.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.
• Proficient in the use of inspection tools and measuring equipment such as:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Height Gages
  • Optical Comparators
  • Other inspection equipment as required
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic documentation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

• Visual acuity sufficient to perform detailed inspections.
• Ability to use magnification and microscopes as needed.
• Manual dexterity for handling small components.
