About the role

The company is rebuilding its entire data layer in-house after moving away from legacy systems and processes. They are seeking a hands-on Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and own a clean PostgreSQL-based backend data platform that powers their growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and optimize PostgreSQL databases
• Build backend data services including APIs, views, pipelines, ETL/ELT
• Data integration with operational systems using ADF or similar tools
• Migrate and decommission legacy data platforms

Requirements

• Experience with PostgreSQL (design, modelling, optimisation)
• SQL and relational database engineering skills
• Experience building backend data services
• Experience with ADF or similar orchestration tools
• Experience migrating/decommissioning legacy data platforms
• Experience in scale-ups or lean engineering teams
• Understanding of financial services
• Nice-to-have: Experience reverse-engineering EUC processes

Must have relevant experience and qualifications.
