Data Platform and Security Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Embed security controls early in the development process (shift-left security)
• Identify and address vulnerabilities in code before production
• Automate and accelerate vulnerability remediation using AI-powered tools and processes
• Handle high volumes and rapid influx of vulnerabilities driven by AI tools
• Harden build and run processes for platforms with external threat vectors
• Support and improve security across cloud data platforms

Technical Focus Areas

• AWS security and governance (IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, Service Control Policies)
• Infrastructure automation and serverless technologies (CloudFormation, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Security scanning and vulnerability management (SAST, Snyk, EchoAI, AI-assisted penetration testing)
• Data sharing and file transfer solutions (Snowflake, SFTP, Amazon Transfer Family)
• Data synchronization and storage gateway management

Qualifications Required

• Expertise in AWS security and automation
• Experience with security and vulnerability management tools
• Proven track record in identifying, prioritizing, and remediating vulnerabilities
• Experience with data sharing, file transfer, and storage gateway solutions
• Familiarity with security tooling such as Snyk and EchoAI
