Job responsibilities
- Create plans for the development and delivery of product data to support strategic business objectives, operations, analytics, and reporting
- Identify and document the scope of critical data, ensuring clarity, purpose, and proper classification with metadata
- Support analytics initiatives by identifying data required for integration into analytics platforms
- Document and coordinate requirements for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Develop processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks, including protection, retention, storage, and use
- Build strong relationships with data delivery partners and consumers across Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, and Risk
- Track and manage workstreams and KPIs to ensure successful delivery of data initiatives
- Design and develop data models to support business processes and analytics requirements
- Create and optimize database structures for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Analyze data requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data models
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, structures, and processes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree required, with 3+ years of industry experience in a data-related field
- Technical expertise in data management, data engineering, data pipelines, data modeling, data architecture, and governance
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google, or Azure, and/or big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Alteryx, or Snowflake
- Strong understanding of data quality, privacy, and security standards, and experience with data governance frameworks and tools
- Proven ability to manage delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines
- Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
- Understanding of Agile technological development methodology
- Knowledge of industry best practices for data management and modeling
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Recognized thought leader within a related field
- Hightly proficient in data querying with languages as Python, R, Perl, SQL
- Good knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design and data analytics
- Familiarity with different data environments such as AWS S3, Snowflake and Data Bricks
