About the Role
SAIC is seeking an experienced Data Ops Engineer Senior to support our United States Air Force customer within the Technical Engineering and Design Department. This role involves developing and implementing data analytics techniques, AI/ML models, and secure data handling practices for classified and unclassified datasets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data analytics techniques and applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.
- Design, train, test, and deploy AI and ML models to extract insights and predictions from structured, unstructured, and classified data sources using techniques such as natural language processing (NLP), image recognition, neural networks, and predictive analytics.
- Handle classified data feeds while ensuring compliance with DoD and national security regulations, including advanced data pre-processing, cleansing, and security protocols.
- Visualize, interpret, and report data findings in dynamic reports using data manipulation and visualization tools.
- Support the design, development, testing, and implementation of web-based collaboration tools and platforms for data reporting.
- Plan and conduct software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts to meet analytics objectives.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis for hypothesis testing.
- Occasional domestic travel (10% to 25%) and long-distance travel to U.S. Government and contractor facilities as required.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or R and packages like SQL, Pandas, or Jupyter notebooks.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Grafana.
- Familiarity with operating systems: Windows and Linux (RedHat).
- Comfortable working with data in various formats including Excel, CSV, JSON, and XML.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical briefs and lead discussions on technical subject matter.
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills for interfacing with corporate customers, command staff, and peer contractor personnel.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks to ensure productivity.
- Ability to work non-standard hours and schedules to support project requirements.
- U.S. citizenship and an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Industrial Engineering (IE), Physics, Information Systems, or Information Technology (preferred).

Working Conditions

Pay
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000, based on experience.
