About the role
Joining Building a Brand starts with a Story FIRST as a Data Operations & Automation Intern offers hands-on experience in data quality improvement, automation, and process documentation. This role supports the Data & Analytics team and business data owners, contributing to a unified data foundation that enhances operational insights, resource planning, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cleansing, standardizing, and validating data from shared business systems.
- Document data sources, data definitions, and reporting processes clearly.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual data pulls and repetitive reporting tasks.
- Support the creation of a unified data asset combining information from multiple operational systems.
- Work with designated business data owners in Client Services and Global Operations to understand data requirements.
- Help improve data quality for reporting, resource planning, time tracking, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Create process documentation and recommendations for ongoing data management practices.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Basic skills or familiarity with Excel, database technologies, and data visualization tools.
- Comfort working with and organizing complex data sets.
- Exposure to or eagerness to learn enterprise tools such as Salesforce, time-tracking systems, and business intelligence practices.
- Highly organized with a desire to learn process improvement and data governance concepts.
Qualifications
- United States Residents: Bachelor's degree candidates (current students or graduates) are eligible for $20/hour, and Master's degree candidates (current students or graduates) are eligible for $25/hour.
Skills
- Excel proficiency.
- Familiarity with database technologies.
- Data visualization tools.
- Enterprise tools such as Salesforce, time-tracking systems, and business intelligence practices.

Schedule
- This internship runs from September 21 through December 11 and requires 20–25 hours of availability per week.
