Responsibilities
- Accurately record, validate, and audit incoming Fund Information data notices, updates, and transactions in Hamsa's systems, leveraging both manual workflows and AI tooling.
- Own the end-to-end resolution of missing or incomplete data—proactively coordinating with clients, transfer agents, custodians, and other industry parties, and partnering with the Director of Subaccounting on complex or escalated cases.
- Lead daily data reconciliations and quality checks, identifying root causes of recurring discrepancies and collaborating with senior leaders to drive systemic fixes.
- Serve as a first-line resource for data issues, exercising sound judgment on prioritization and working in close partnership with the Director of Subaccounting to resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain and improve organized records, logs, and exception tracking across data notices and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with Operations functions (Trading, Reconciliation, Reporting) to ensure seamless data flow and proactively surface cross-functional dependencies.
- Contribute, recommend, and maintain process documentation, automation workflows, SOPs, and quality control checklists—continuously improving efficiency and reducing error rates.
- Mentor junior team members, provide guidance on data standards, and support onboarding as the team grows.
- Partner with fellow Data Operations Associates to coordinate workflows, share best practices, and contribute to team-level planning and prioritization.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and periodic on-site work in Dallas to coordinate with colleagues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in data operations, fund administration, transfer agency, omnibus/subaccounting, reconciliation, or related financial services operations roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, drive issues to resolution, and work in close collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of maintaining high data accuracy at scale.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable interfacing directly with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; working knowledge of SQL, dashboards, or reconciliation tooling strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with automation workflows or AI-assisted data processing is a plus.
