About the role

This critical role bridges business needs with technical solutions, ensuring our data assets are structured to support operational excellence and advanced analytics in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs.
- Apply data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Develop and maintain data models in cloud data warehouses, particularly on Google Cloud Platform.
- Support data governance, metadata management, and ETL/ELT processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of professional experience as a Data Modeler, Data Architect, or similar role, with an emphasis on scalable data solutions and governance.
- Proven experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models (at least three years).
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Hands‑on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, SAP PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, or Lucidchart.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (GC) required; no H‑1B sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data modeling in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Certifications in data management or related fields.
- Knowledge of additional cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data pipeline tools.
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and ETL/ELT processes.
Pay
Contract rate: $65–$80 per hour (W2). Potential conversion to a salaried position with a base salary of $135,000–$155,000.
Schedule
Remote work aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. Contract duration: 6+ months, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.
