Area of responsibility

  • Participate in customer discussions to gather and analyze system requirements for performance, security and scalability
  • Provide suggestions on solution architecture, contribute to tech framework development, support enterprise architecture definition, and drive design creation
  • Identify suitable technologies and tools available in the market, and perform a comparative analysis in line with client's business requirement, thereby identifying optimal architectural solution options
  • Participate in developing integration strategies based on validation of proof of concept of proposed architectural solutions
  • Facilitate a smooth transition by ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to quality standards, while contributing to the build and deployment automation strategy
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues using solution deployment and roll out methods, during build, deployment and support phases
  • Analyze system performance basis architectural solutions implemented and support in identifying potential risks in the system landscape
  • Create artifacts of architectural frameworks and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required skills and experience

  • Experience in data engineering/architecture across cloud or hybrid environments, with measurable impact on modernization, scalability, and cost optimization
  • Experience in Data Modeling
  • Knowledge of metadata, lineage, data quality, and governance tooling (Collibra DQ, SALT, Informatica EDC)
  • Hands on expertise with data lake or data warehouse or lake house platforms, streaming data, ETL/ELT
  • Hands on expertise with various relational DBs and NoSQL DBs
  • Proven ability to translate architecture principles into pragmatic delivery patterns; influence platform decisions and align solutions with business priorities
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills across business, technology, and risk/compliance teams; able to articulate ROI and strategic impact to senior leadership
  • Experience operating within Agile/SAFe environments

Preferred skills and experience

  • Experience in Big data, Cloudera Hadoop is preferred
  • Hands on expertise with cloud native Lakehouse platforms (Databricks, Snowflake), streaming (Kafka), ETL/ELT (Informatica), BI (MicroStrategy, Tableau, ThoughtSpot), and relational databases
  • Programming proficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering, automation, and AI/ML pipelines
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, platform choices, model lifecycle/MLOps, and integration into enterprise data platforms
  • Familiarity with distributed query engines (Starburst), graph databases (TigerGraph), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), open table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake), and data mesh principles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
