Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data migration projects by supporting data preparation, validation, testing, and execution activities while helping ensure project milestones are met.
- Support data mapping and transformation by validating field mappings between legacy systems and Ontic, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data aligns with business requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Implementation, and Client Success teams to support migration activities, troubleshoot data issues, and learn data migration best practices.
- Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation to help maintain data accuracy and integrity throughout the migration process.
- Use SQL and other data tools to query, analyze, and manipulate datasets while developing technical skills in data migration and data management.
- Document migration processes, testing results, and data findings while contributing ideas to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
- Assist with client migration activities by preparing data reports, tracking migration progress, and supporting issue resolution under the guidance of senior team members.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student (rising junior, or senior preferred), pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Entry-level knowledge of various data types, structures, and formats (e.g., SQL, XML, CSV, JSON).
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and manipulating data during migrations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Exposure to databases, data modeling, or ETL concepts through academic coursework or projects.
