Data Management Analyst - Remote
Client: Financial Services team. Location: 100 % remote (team hubs in Minneapolis, MN and Charlotte, NC). 3-month contract.
About the role
In this contingent assignment you will consult on the Compensation Data Module initiative, accelerating the development of a trusted, reusable Compensation Data Module built on Microsoft Fabric. The module will support automated reporting, standardized calculations, self-service analytics, governance, and future AI-enabled capabilities. You will serve as a senior-level business analyst and delivery partner, driving requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, documentation, testing coordination, backlog management, and operational process development. The role requires comfort working with highly sensitive compensation data and the ability to bridge business and technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions and requirements workshops.
- Partner with Compensation, HR, Data, and Technology teams to define business solutions.

- Data Definitions
- Process Documentation
- Operating Procedures
- Decision Logs
- Issue Logs
- Onboarding Materials
- Manage backlog prioritization and requirements traceability.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
- Track dependencies, risks, decisions, and project milestones.
- Support implementation of Microsoft Fabric data solutions and semantic models.
- Assist with governance, security, and operating model development for sensitive compensation data.
- Support change management and operational readiness activities.
- Build and maintain documentation repositories and knowledge management assets.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Requirements Gathering, Business Analysis, and Stakeholder Management.
- Experience supporting Data Management, Data Governance, and Analytics initiatives.
- Experience documenting business requirements, data definitions, and operational processes.
- Strong ability to lead conversations, ask probing questions, and drive requirements discovery.
- Experience supporting data-related projects involving reporting, business intelligence, or data platforms.

Pay
$70 – $75 per hour.
