In this role, you’ll analyze program outcomes, support grant reporting, and help strengthen services that impact communities across the territory.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Client Management Systems Administrators (CMSA) to ensure that The Salvation Army Information Management System (SIMS) to ensure that its architecture and functionality facilitates the information needs of the organization and the accessibility by end uses.
- Function as the primary report writer using WellSky Community Services and SAP Business Objects for territorial level reporting.
- Provide report writing assistance to divisional social services staff.
- Consult with both Territorial and Divisional program directors to support the full implementation of SIMS and ensure that it addresses and supports programmatic goals and quality assurance functions.
- Work collaboratively with the CMSA’s and program personnel to facilitate the collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data.
- Design and execute data extraction methodologies in support of outcomes measurement of assigned projects, including Pathway of Hope (POH).
- Develop, organize, and manage client indicators utilizing Excel, WellSky Community Services, SurveyMonkey, MS Office Forms, SA National Statistical System and other data management systems.
- Review data for accuracy in preparation for conducting analysis of data for client and programmatic outcomes measurements and reporting.
- Promote consistency in use of data across the organization to ensure consistent and accurate management analyses and reports.
- Support the development of interpretation and summarization of outcome results including synthesizing information from multiple sources, creating succinct, clear, and actionable summaries in order to improve the quality and performance.
- Aid Territorial and Divisional teams with data implications and utility in order to build capacity to utilize data for program management and improvements.
- Support the training and staff development plan to ensure use of SIMS in an accurate manner by end users.
- Work collaboratively with the SIMS Committee and Divisional System Administrators to address systems wide quality improvements and additional data needs.
- Communicate clearly and concisely through both written and verbal reporting of data implications, trends, and results tied to established outcome measures.
- Aid territorial and divisional grant writing staff to mine specific data for new social services grant proposals.
- Aid divisional staff with program evaluation and the DHQ/THQ review processes.
- Maintain an active relationship with the Territorial Statistical Bureau.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the WellSky Community Services and other approved internal and external systems, upgrades, and version releases.
- Attend educational opportunities when appropriate.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree required along with applicable work experience. Master's degree preferred in research, program evaluation, and statistics.
- Experience: Two of relevant experience, including at least two years conducting data management using a variety of software required (e.g., SQL, WellSky Community Services, SAP, or Access).
- Strong analytic background; at least 2 years conducting and interpreting quantitative analyses.
- Familiarity with planning, generating and collating survey results utilizing SurveyMonkey or other survey tools.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
- Excellent computer skills to include: Microsoft 365: Excel, Access, PowerPoint and other applications in the office suite; SQL, SPSS or SAS, and Power BI.
- Previous completion of SIMS Community Services Systems Administrator Training and SAP Business Objects Reporting highly desired.
- Advanced knowledge of research methodology.
- Excellent data management skills.
- Experienced and skilled in using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to act in a professional and effective way with internal and external teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Must be able to work with others to anticipate, identify and solve problems related to individual database use or system-wide issues.
- Understands program evaluation processes and techniques, and best practices regarding evaluative research.

$69,544 to $86,930/annually, based on experience.

Hybrid in nature, two remote days and three in-office days.
