Duties/Responsibilities
- Plan and manage construction projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, meet client needs, and stay within budgets.
- Create timelines and determine costs and resources needed.
- Generate detailed plans and schedules for each project stage.
- Report project progress to senior managers and clients.
- Manage risks and prevent delays.
- Give direction to supervisors, crews, delegating and assigning tasks as required.
- Ensure all work complies with customer construction standards, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete project files and distribute appropriate closeout documents in a timely manner.
- Perform performance management functions, handle disciplinary actions, conduct performance reviews, and develop team members.
- Aid in customer invoicing and ensure accurate and timely submission of invoices.
- Be the primary point of contact for your team and serve as a resource.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with utilities, clients, and permitting agencies as needed.
- Adhere to company safety standards and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws.
Qualifications
- 5 years of direct experience working for a general contractor or a data infrastructure company as a Project Manager or Superintendent.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a comparable field preferred.
- Experience with low voltage, data infrastructure, and structured cabling required.
- Experience with bidding, project management, and field supervision aspects of construction.
- Willingness to travel across the continental United States to oversee multiple projects.
- Strong understanding of all trades in ground-up and renovation projects.
- Experience managing project budgets, financial projections, and invoicing.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating material and equipment delivery.
- Experience with subcontractor buyout, writing scopes, scope reviews, and project coordination.
- Experience with bidding public projects.
- Experience in running successful foreman meetings and managing an efficient site workforce.
- Ability to collaborate with the project owner, design, and project team.
- Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, ANSI, TIA, EIA, and BICSI cabling, and NEC standards.
