About the Opportunity: The Data Governance Specialist/Lead role is focused on establishing and evolving the data governance framework to support the organization's shift toward dynamic, autonomous AI applications. The position is responsible for ensuring data is well documented, organized, and managed to be reliable and usable for current and future AI use cases. This role plays a critical part in embedding governance practices into data platforms and development initiatives to enable trustworthy and AI-ready data products . 3. Responsibilitie s: Lead the formalization of enterprise data governance, including metadata and data quality management.Define and socialize data standards such as taxonomies, data dictionaries, and ontologies.Manage a continuous Data Governance Lifecycle to certify data readiness for AI.Refine governance standards and expand domains based on prioritized data needs.Unite cross-functional teams to build AI-ready data products and lead metadata harmonization.Promote adoption of data governance processes, controls, and procedures.Ensure data compliance with relevant regulations including CCPA, SOX, GDPR, and HIP AA. 4. Requireme nts: BA/BS degree.Over 5 years of experience in consulting or large enterprise data governance programs.Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra or Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog.Proven track record in leading data standardization projects across complex systems.Strong knowledge of metadata management, data observability, and taxonomy design.Ability to deliver incremental, sustainable value and lead cross-functional teams effectively.Strong communication skills to link standardized data to AI and reporting outcomes.Curiosity and willingness to explore complex ideas and proce sses. 5. Pay Range and Compensation Pa ckage: The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $136,000 per year, adjustable based on geographic location and other factors.Compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or incentive programs depending on th e role. 6.
