- Develop data security and privacy solutions, including masking, de-identification, and tokenization.
- Work with Alation and AWS Glue Data Catalog for metadata, cataloging, lineage, and governance.
- Use Python and REST APIs to automate governance processes.
- Monitor data quality and governance controls and fix identified gaps.
- Perform data governance, security, and compliance assessments/audits.
- Work closely with Security, Compliance, Data, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Build and improve governance solutions from prototype to production.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years specifically in Data Governance, Data Security, Data Privacy, or Data Quality.
- Strong experience creating data governance policies, standards, frameworks, and security controls.
- Strong knowledge of data privacy, classification, masking, de-identification, and tokenization.
- Hands-on Alation and AWS Glue Data Catalog experience.
- Strong Python + REST API experience.
- AWS experience with S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, Step Functions, and Redshift.
- Knowledge of data lineage, metadata, data quality, stewardship, and access governance.
- Strong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field.
- Healthcare / Health Insurance experience (preferred).
- Agile/Scrum experience (preferred).
- Airflow and modern data warehouse/big-data experience (preferred).
Ideal Candidate
We need candidates who can clearly explain their experience in creating data governance policies, security controls, privacy standards, and governance frameworks—not just maintaining an existing catalog or governance platform.
