About the role

The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in advancing the organization's data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance across all business units. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement data standards, policies, and procedures that enhance data management and decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance across all business units.
• Work with Medicaid, Medicare, or other managed care programs.
• Use data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, and Azure Purview.
• Understand and apply healthcare data standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct data profiling, data quality assessments, and root cause analyses.
• Utilize SQL and data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Multi-task while maintaining attention-to-detail and problem-solving capability.
• Handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Take ownership of projects and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in data governance, data quality, or data management within the healthcare industry.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or other managed care programs.
• Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview).
• Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and healthcare data management best practices.
• Knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and master data management concepts.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data profiling, data quality assessment, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention-to-detail.
• Independent self-starter who is driven to success, takes great pride in accomplishments, and works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
