Data Entry Operator
About the role
This position will be located on site. The data entry operator is responsible for performing data entry work using appropriate software. The Data Entry Operator works from various standardized source documents that have been coded and require little or no selecting, coding, or interpreting of data. Problems such as erroneous items and codes, or missing information are resolved by a government employee.
Responsibilities
- May review the work of entry- and mid-level clerks.
- Performs clerical duties and office functions including some of or all of the following:
- proofs and records data from various sources,
- makes photocopies,
- sends and receives faxes,
- answers basic to complex inquiries,
- delivers messages,
- sorts and delivers mail,
- meters mail,
- types documents,
- orders office supplies,
- works with office forms and procedures.
Requirements
- High School + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Due to the nature of the project US citizenship is required.
- Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of Data Entry experience.
Qualifications
- Works cooperatively with others, displaying good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Uses Word, Excel and Outlook.

- The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
- The range for this position is $23 to $27 per hour.
