About the role
This position is the first line of communication for financial aid and registration. Must be able to answer a variety of questions related to departmental process, policy, procedures, and provide direction to other various departmental questions.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Answers phone, emails, and meets students (families) while providing guidance in processes, procedures, and policies.
- Possesses skills to add, delete, update, retrieve and verify data for College financial, academic and administrative operations; batches data for input; verifies data entry operations and makes necessary corrections.
- Affords assistance in performing various clerical duties including typing, filing, copying and duties pertaining to student registrations and accounts.
- Affords assistance in scanning, linking, and shredding documentation so all files are maintained in an electronic filing system wide.
- Affords assistance in training part-time, temporary, work-study or newly hired employees.
- Performs all duties in accordance with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements, board policies and administrative regulations and directives.
- Performs other clerical duties for specific/unique needs of the department.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Experience in data entry which may be obtained through previous job related or educational training.
- Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills in interfacing with faculty, staff and students. Ability to multitask while effectively communicating CCAC policy and procedures to students and their ability to operate various office equipment, including a personal computer, and appropriate College software packages or equivalent.
- Physical Requirements: Work in a general office environment with ability to sit for 2 hours without interruption.
Qualifications
- Must be able to travel to perform work duties at any campus or center location within the CCAC system.
- Should possess good organizational, customer service, communication, interpersonal and clerical skills. Detail oriented, ability to multi-task meet deadlines and be a team player.
- Required to have regular and timely attendance.
