About the role
The Data Engineer - .NET Web Development will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and testing a custom-built web application for Sentry's data lake solution. This application manages all metadata and serves as the presentation layer for the entire ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop technical solutions to meet product requirements effectively.
- Utilize knowledge and understanding of technical and business domains to apply effective solutions.
- Understand and apply technical best practices.
- Participate in team delivery functions such as design reviews, code reviews, and other collaborative activities.
- Leverage understanding of relevant domains to enable effective decision-making.
- Provide mentorship and foster the professional growth and development of other engineers.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and capabilities.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of data engineering experience.
- At least two years of experience with programming languages and frameworks relevant to the role including: Microsoft .NET, C#, REST API, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.
- Minimum of two years of experience developing code in the following IDEs: Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- At least two years of experience using tools and systems relevant to the role including: Git, Postman, Bootstrap, and AutoMapper.
- At least two years developing software following agile methodology.
- At least two years of experience applying software development design principles and best practices relevant to the role including: Object-Oriented Programming Principles, SOLID Design Principles, and Clean Architecture.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft .NET, C#, REST API, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, and SQL Server.
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
