Role Summary
Build and operate secure, mission‐critical data solutions in a classified cloud environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data.
- Build data migration solutions between legacy and modern systems using SQL, Java, and cloud‐native tools.
- Implement data integration frameworks on AWS using Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, Redshift, and Kinesis.
- Develop automation scripts in Python and Shell/Bash for deployment, validation, and maintenance.
- Maintain and optimize real‐time and batch pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Support data quality, metadata management, and governance processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across on‐premises and AWS environments.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum sprints, contributing to design, coding, reviews, testing, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Mid‐level: Five or more years in data engineering or database development.
- Senior‐level: Eight or more years in data engineering or database development.
- Hands‐on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, AWS Glue, or custom Java ETL.
- Proficiency in SQL and one major RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with data migration and data quality validation.
- Proficiency in Java or Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift, and Glue.
- Working knowledge of Linux or Unix and shell scripting.
- Experience in an Agile or Scrum development environment.
- Excellent problem‐solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Familiarity with streaming and event‐driven data patterns using Kinesis or similar.
- Experience in classified or regulated environments with secure development practices.
