About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer / Database Engineer to support complex, large-scale enterprise data and database engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT, data modeling, performance optimization, and enterprise data platforms. This role will work closely with application development, architecture, analytics, infrastructure, and business teams to design, implement, optimize, and support scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex and large-scale database and data engineering initiatives with significant business impact.
• Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-grade database solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks.
• Analyze and resolve complex database and data engineering issues.
• Perform database performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and troubleshooting.
• Design and maintain logical and physical data models supporting business and analytical requirements.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, governance, and compliance across enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with application developers, architects, data analysts, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.
• Support both cloud and on-premises database environments.
• Participate in database migration, modernization, automation, and transformation initiatives.
• Contribute to architecture reviews, technical planning, and enterprise data engineering best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and consultation to project teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Work effectively within Agile development environments.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Database Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with one or more relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling and database design.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with database performance tuni
