Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day technical execution for engineering teams delivering data and analytics solutions
- Serve as a senior hands-on engineer contributing to solution design, development, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Guide and mentor engineers through technical leadership, collaboration, and code review
- Support development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, integrations, and processing frameworks within Databricks and AWS
- Collaborate with architects and program leadership to implement technical solutions aligned with project objectives
- Help break down requirements into actionable development tasks and support sprint execution
- Partner with application engineers, QA/test teams, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery
- Promote engineering best practices around performance, maintainability, testing, and operational support
- Absorb production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
- Contribute to Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical estimation
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain any required clearance or suitability determination
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or related field. Master’s degree in a plus.
- 8+ years of experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and large-scale data processing solutions
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks and modern data engineering frameworks
- Experience working within AWS cloud environments
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or Spark-based data processing
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and Agile development practices
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to lead technical efforts while remaining hands-on in delivery
- Certification in one or more Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate and/or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate
- AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
- Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools
