Data Engineer IV

About the role

Contract position (6 months) on-site in Atlanta, GA (not remote). Rate up to $107 per hour (W2). The company is a large, well‑established US software firm with a sizable commercial organisation investing in forecasting and seeking stronger analytics for sales targets. The interview process is short with the hiring team; employer sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Senior individual contributor for the commercial forecasting team.
• Pull revenue figures from the warehouse, model them, and produce the numbers the business uses to set targets.
• Model the pipeline stage by stage and test what‑if scenarios on the main assumptions.
• Query and check revenue figures in Databricks, then reconcile them across sources.
• Produce regular reporting for senior leaders and explain why results differ from target.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial analytics, RevOps or financial planning work.
• Confident writing your own SQL on Snowflake or Databricks.
• Strong modelling in Excel or Google Sheets, plus dashboards in Tableau or Power BI.
• Daily use of Claude Code (or a comparable AI coding assistant) in your analysis work.

Qualifications

• Time spent in Anaplan or other corporate forecasting software.
• Good grasp of SaaS revenue metrics.
• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck BI.

Skills

• SQL (Snowflake/Databricks)
• Financial modelling in Excel/Google Sheets
• Dashboard creation in Tableau/Power BI
• Experience with AI coding assistants (Claude Code or comparable)

Pay

Up to $107 per hour (W2).
