Location: St. Louis, MO • Type: Contract • Hybrid role requiring at least three days on-site at AHQ, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

About the role

You will be part of a data analytics team working on developing advanced reporting and data solutions for enterprise stakeholders. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business partners to design databases and build machine learning models that deliver actionable insights. This contract role has potential to extend based on project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Generate reports and datasets by utilizing system tools, database queries, and scripting to meet end-user requirements.
  • Design, develop, and program methods and systems to analyze structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
  • Analyze and model data to identify trends, patterns, and insights for decision-making support.
  • Program and maintain reports, dashboards, and data portals to enable end-user data access.
  • Apply advanced statistical and mathematical concepts to interpret large datasets, identifying key insights.
  • Support complex business problems by integrating internal and external unstructured data sources to inform strategic decisions.
  • Build or define machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions that create business value.
  • Design database architectures for unstructured data, defining storage, consumption, and management strategies.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to review data pipelines and optimize data processes.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data science solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of data analysis, data engineering, or data science experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and related data analysis tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with database design, data modeling, and building data pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, mathematical concepts, and data visualization techniques.
  • Ability to work with unstructured data and develop machine learning models.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Driver's License.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse solutions like Snowflake or Redshift.
  • Certification in data science, machine learning, or analytics frameworks (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics).
  • Exposure to AI development and deployment in enterprise environments.
