Data Engineer III

Key Responsibilities

• Liaises with vendors and stakeholders to implement data requirements
• Analyzes performance and researches/troubleshoots issues within system engineering domains

Requirements

• Leadership in code design and delivery tasks
• Integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytical data systems
• Documentation of system requirements and collaboration with development teams
• Development of test plans and analysis of test reports
• Maintenance of platform activities, catalog configuration, connectivity validation, production monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Supporting onboarding of new Starburst data products
• Performing platform health monitoring and reporting
• Assisting with incident troubleshooting and ticket management
• Validating catalogs, connectors, and user access
• Creating operational documentation and runbooks
• Supporting new tenants onboarding
• Supporting GenAI data access and validation activities
• Mentoring Data Engineers for continuous development
• Monitoring key performance indicators and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/data engineering
• Starburst knowledge, Kubernetes/containers, YAML, OpenShift, Hadoop, SQL knowledge
• Basic Linux experience
• Understanding of databases and data warehousing
• Basic Python programming
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications

• Full understanding of images/containers/kubernetes/YAML file/BIACs
• 3+ years Starburst experience and skills as Admin and DEVOPs
• Ability to multitask and work with multiple groups/users/teams
