Data Engineer - II
About the role
VARITE is an award‑winning minority business enterprise providing global consulting and staffing services to Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies. The client is a U.S.‑based regional bank and financial services company offering personal banking, business banking, mortgages, wealth management, and investment services. The Data Engineer – II position is a key member of the National Integration Services (NIS) team within the Information Technology Services (ITS) department. NIS middleware supports internal departments such as Cash, Markets, Statistics, Bank Supervision and Regulation, and external partners including the US Treasury. The role involves working cross‑functionally with architects, engineers, business analysts, and service managers to complete design documentation, consult on technical solutions, handle network and server build requests, install and configure software, and apply MQ engineering skills across the full lifecycle from inception through design, build, and deployment.

Requirements
- 5‑10 years of recent and related experience as an MQ Architect/Integration Engineer from design through implementation of technical solutions
- Strong preference for recent, demonstrable experience with automated build and system configuration tools (Terraform, Packer, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.); Terraform experience strongly
