About the role

The Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) team is shaping the future of monetization across Amazon's ad-supported publishers — Prime Video, Twitch, Fire TV, Amazon Stores, and Audio. Our mission: build Earth's most customer-centric advertising services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize data models and end-to-end data pipelines across APM's publisher data, leveraging AWS services (such as Redshift, EMR, Airflow, Kinesis, Lambda) and internal Amazon tools
  • Drive architectural decisions for data solutions within a unified modeling framework that serves both human analysts and AI-powered analytics agents, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability
  • Define and implement data quality standards across the datasets you own by building automated monitoring, investigating anomalies, and driving root-cause resolution with minimal guidance
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deeply understand their decision-making needs, translating ambiguous requirements into trusted, well-modeled data products
  • Lead the design of next-generation APM data architecture to improve scale, quality, timeliness, coverage, monitoring, and security while influencing team-wide technical direction
  • Support and mentor other engineers on data engineering best practices, code quality, and system design principles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of data engineering experience
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes experience
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling experience
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL experience
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
  • Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
