Data Engineer/Finance/Azure/Databricks/Chicago LOCAL

Our client is a leading global investment bank specializing in M&A, valuations, and private market advisory work. This role is hybrid, requiring 4 days a week in downtown Chicago.

About the role

Join a team modernizing the internal data ecosystem as the second full-time Data Engineer. You’ll work alongside a senior Data Engineer and four Data Analysts to migrate from SQL Server to MS Fabric + Databricks, build transformation pipelines, improve governance, and shape next-gen data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• 50% Python/SQL development
• 50% Azure-based data engineering (Databricks, Azure Data Factory)
• 100% hands-on pipeline development and infrastructure work

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Azure, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
