About Decimal Decimal is an AI-native services firm for capital markets. We embed with portfolio managers, investment fund managers, exempt market dealers and issuers to build and operate the systems behind investment operations, compliance and corporate governance. We combine capital-markets expertise, product, engineering and delivery in one team. Our systems connect to the technology a firm already uses, carry routine work forward, assemble context and surface exceptions so people can apply their judgment where it matters. Because we operate what we build alongside client teams, live work continually sharpens the system and expands what it can carry. We are building a small, high-agency team around this model. The work crosses traditional boundaries: understanding the operation, designing the system, deploying it and staying accountable for how it performs in practice. About The Role You build the data layer that turns documents, messages and existing systems into structured records the operation can trust. Subscription packages, identity records, account statements, agreements and firm exports need to become usable information, evidence and exceptions rather than remain trapped in files. This is applied AI inside a live, regulated operation. Provenance, privacy and evaluation matter as much as extraction quality. You design systems that can distinguish a confident result from an unresolved question and improve as real corrections accumulate. What You'll Do Build extraction and reconciliation pipelines. Turn varied documents and system exports into normalized records linked to their source evidence.Design for uncertainty. Represent missing, contradictory and low-confidence information so the workflow can route it properly.Create evaluations. Build representative data sets and turn production corrections into durable tests for models and pipelines.Feed the operation. Deliver reliable structured inputs to workflows across investment operations, compliance and governance.Protect the data boundary. Design around client privacy, access controls, retention requirements and appropriate deployment environments. What You Need Experience with production data pipelines, document intelligence, applied machine learning or adjacent systems work.Strong instincts for provenance, auditability and the difference between a model output and a completed record.Comfort working with engineers and domain specialists to define truth in messy source material.A habit of measuring quality across real cases rather than relying on anecdotal success.Practical judgment about privacy and security in systems that handle confidential client information.
