Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and maintain the backend for various Data to Decision projects for Fortune 500 clients.
  • Work closely with the data science and engineering team to integrate algorithmic output from backend REST APIs.
  • Participate in UAT, diagnose, and troubleshoot bugs and application integration issues.
  • Demonstrate team handling, problem-solving, project management, communication skills, and creative thinking.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to developed processes and applications.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of demonstrable experience designing, building, and working as a Backend Python Engineer for enterprise web applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Python (3.4+) and Django (2.1+) or Flask.
  • AI-Assisted Development: Use AI-powered tools to generate boilerplate code, write tests, and automate code documentation.
  • Familiarity with common databases (RDBMS such as MySQL & NoSQL such as MongoDB) and data warehousing concepts (OLAP, OLTP).
  • Understanding of REST concepts and building/interacting with REST APIs.
  • Deep understanding of core backend concepts:
    • Develop and design RESTful services and APIs.
    • Develop functional databases, applications, and servers to support websites on the back-end.
    • Performance optimization and multithreading concepts.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with deploying and maintaining high-traffic infrastructure.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation: Blue Prism/WorkFusion/UI Path.
  • Experience with ReactJs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (particularly Azure Web App, Storage, and VM), AWS (EC2 containers), or GCP Services.
  • Experience with Microservices and Messaging Brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with fine-tuning reverse proxy engines such as Nginx, Apache HTTPD.

Qualifications

B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or related technical degree OR equivalent experience.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $120,000 - $130,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
