What You'll Do

  • Drive data awareness and provide the analytics teams with trends and actionable recommendations/information.
  • Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure all relevant data is being collected.
  • Align data needs to business objectives, formulate a data roadmap.
  • Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
  • Plan, build, and deliver highly reliable ETL processes.
  • Plan, build, and develop real-time analytics through data pipelines.
  • Manage user events in the YouVersion bible app to bring our data governance to the next level.
  • Engage as an active contributor within our agile development process.
  • Take ownership of projects and oversee them with minimal direction.
  • Manage schedules and duties to efficiently meet the needs of the organization in the pursuit of leading others to become fully devoted follower of Christ.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree + advanced certification.
  • Skills: Self-motivation, making independent decisions, problem-solving with innovation, effective multitasking, excellent verbal, written, and oral communication, strong presentation creation and facilitation, process and organizational management, Python, Go, Java, C++, proficiency in data orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, dbt, proficiency in Database Management Systems like Postgres or MySQL, experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud data solutions like AWS or Azure, understanding of user event data collection products like Firebase, Flurry or Posthog, strong analytical skills, strong critical and strategic thinking skills.
