Data Engineer

Viyahe is expanding its remote team with a Data Engineer working across technology-enabled travel booking, live-agent support, business travel, traveler service, software, data, and digital operations.

About the role

The Data Engineer will design, build, test, and operate reliable data, analytics, AI, or software systems. The opening is full time, fully remote, and open to candidates throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-quality technical components, services, pipelines, models, or platform capabilities.
• Translate requirements into technical designs, interfaces, tests, monitoring, and deployment plans.
• Write, review, test, and maintain code or configuration using established engineering practices across travel technology and traveler support.
• Investigate defects, reliability issues, performance problems, and data or model failures.
• Document architecture, operational procedures, dependencies, and important technical decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, product, and business partners to deliver measurable improvements.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering, data, or software experience with hands-on use of the technologies required by the position.
• Strong programming, debugging, testing, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with version control, cloud or platform services, data systems, CI/CD, or observability tools.
• Ability to reason about reliability, scalability, data quality, security, and maintainability.
• Clear technical communication and documentation skills.

Pay

$128,000 - $138,500 per year
