About the role
A Data Engineer responsible for developing and deploying data pipelines and platforms to organize and analyze diverse data sources, supporting mission-driven projects such as fraud detection and research.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance scalable data pipelines and platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including analysts, developers, and data consumers.
- Support assessment, design, development, and maintenance of data solutions.
- Implement ETL operations on cloud and on-premises infrastructures.
- Write software using programming languages like Python, and manage databases using SQL or GraphQL.
- Automate and script on Linux or Windows systems.
Requirements
- 2+ years in data engineering, pipeline development, or software engineering.
- Experience with ETL, source control, and cloud platforms such as AWS or similar services.
- Knowledge of relational/non-relational databases, distributed frameworks like Apache Spark, and infrastructure as code tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; security clearance eligibility required.
Skills
- Nice-to-have: experience with analytics workloads, large-scale pipelines, DoD systems, advanced certifications, and cloud development.
