Data Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Flat Roll Group IT team, which develops and maintains shared data systems across our network of flat roll steel manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will design and manage the data infrastructure — pipelines, databases, and reporting solutions — that drives decision-making across the Flat Roll Group.

Required

• Proven experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar role
• Strong SQL proficiency, including complex queries, views, stored procedures, and triggers
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling concepts
• Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, or data lakes
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines or ETL/ELT processes
• Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or BI use cases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated accountability and ownership of data solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in related field, relevant certifications, or equivalent proven expertise
• 5-7 years of experience in SQL
• 5-7 years of experience in data analytics
• Experience in Qlik and/or Power BI
• Microsoft SQL Server experience
