About the role
Open Systems Technologies Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to join their high-performing cyber team supporting a large government enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with specified open-source technologies, as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) technologies to create an application that generates manageable and actionable intelligence from streams of structured and semi-structured data.
- Carry out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application, including:
- Developing data analytics for desktop and web-developed visual analytic software.
- Facilitating the bulk analysis of relational information utilizing advanced graphics, visualization, and high-performance computing.
- Using the specified open source, COTS, and GOTS technologies.
- Establish an application that produces manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of a structured and semi-structured data.
- Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security.
- Design and construct large relational databases.
- Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality.
Requirements
- Clearance: Top Secret with the ability to sit for the CI Poly.
- Requires BS or BA degree.
- Five Years of total IT experience required.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years in a data architect or data engineer role.
- Experience with developing ETL processes/pipelines.
- Ability to develop scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats.
