Data Engineer

About the role

Megazone Cloud is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a "builder" with a passion for data and a startup mentality. They should have a strong background in data wrangling and expertise in Databricks or Snowflake, along with solid experience in Python, SQL, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain resilient, high-performance data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS.
• Own the data ecosystem, mastering our data environment and leveraging Databricks and/or Snowflake for data wrangling, transformation, and preparation for analysis and product use.
• Write mission-critical code using Python and SQL to solve complex data challenges.
• Collaborate and multiply within cross-functional teams, working on big-picture projects.
• Embrace a "builder" mentality, working on diverse challenges and contributing to the company's technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
• 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with SQL.
• Proven, professional experience with Databricks OR Snowflake (certifications or experience with both is a huge plus).
• Solid experience building and managing data solutions on AWS.
• Proven experience in data wrangling and building robust data pipelines.
• A "builder" mindset, a startup mentality, and a genuine thirst for knowledge.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to think fast.
• A strong team-player mentality, with experience navigating team dynamics and collaborating effectively to solve problems.

Bonus Points

• Experience with GenAI, AI/ML frameworks, and MLOps.
• Certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS.
