About the role

Join our team as a remote Data Engineer and play a pivotal role in implementing and managing a cutting-edge data transfer platform. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure secure and efficient data operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage a Globus Connect Server within a Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Configure data transfer workflows and manage endpoints and storage gateways.
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting data transfer and connectivity issues.
• Optimize secure data transfer processes across various environments.
• Monitor platform performance and ensure operational stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish support processes.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
• Develop documentation and support materials for knowledge transfer.

Skills

• Proven experience with Globus platform administration and support.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform services.
• Proficient in Linux system administration and Bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of secure file transfer technologies.
• Strong networking and security knowledge, including Zero-Trust principles.
• Experience in troubleshooting across various technical layers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with identity governance platforms.
• Understanding of high-performance computing environments.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $33 - $67 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
