Data Engineer

About the Role

Support the design, development, modernization, testing, and implementation of data-driven software applications for managing and distributing aeronautical information.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software capabilities, support special projects, modernize legacy applications, and configure Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain relational database structures, queries, stored procedures, and supporting application components.
• Translate business needs into effective technical solutions and provide technical leadership on complex software and database development activities.
• Troubleshoot application and database issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications, source code, and database structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and at least 8 years of professional experience, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
• Experience developing applications using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
