Data Engineer

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data solutions, with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure pipelines. This role will develop robust data pipelines to produce enterprise-wide data assets to support data initiatives. Salary range for this position is $119,078.70 - $139,216.74 with a progressive benefit package. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change. Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in conducting GreenState's mission and vision.Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times.Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.Ensures confidentiality of member information.Supports a diverse and inclusive work environment.Develops comprehensive data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Power BI and other toolsCreates advanced data models and ETL processes across multiple enterprise systemsImplements data governance and quality control mechanismsDesigns and maintains complex data transformations using languages such as Python, Spark, SQL, M, DAX and moreDevelops, maintains and optimizes data solutionsCollaborates with business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical solutionsPerforms advanced data cleansing and preparation techniquesSupports performance optimization of business units’ solutionsStrong attention to detailAbility to take initiative and solve problems independentlyMaintains excellent communication with the Credit Union team and the rest of the organization.Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or credit union sponsored events, on an annual basis.Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements/Expectations Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field4 to 6 years of experience in data engineering and business intelligenceAdvanced proficiency in:ETL processes, specifically in Azure cloud servicesPower BIPythonSQLStrong understanding of data modeling and warehouse designExperience with cloud data architecturesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsFinancial services industry experience preferred Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Director Data & Analytics.
