Data Engineer

Role Overview

The Data Engineer focuses on building and maintaining data platforms, data pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and cloud-based solutions that support Client's energy industry software products.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of relevant software/data engineering experience
• Oil and Gas Experience Preferred
• Python
• SQL
• Data Modeling
• ETL/Data Pipeline Engineering
• AI/ML Frameworks
• Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS)
• Software Development fundamentals
• System Design and Architecture
• Full-stack exposure (Angular/Node.js preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes
• Develop and manage end-to-end AI/ML pipelines
• Support data modeling, data integration, and data quality initiatives
• Design and deploy cloud-native data and AI solutions
• Implement LLM and Generative AI solutions, including:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Vector databases/search
  • Prompt orchestration pipelines
• Ensure data governance, security, and responsible AI practices
• Monitor production systems for reliability, performance, and scalability
• Participate in architecture decisions for enterprise-scale platforms

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
