Data/Cloud Architect II - Part-Time / On-call

Responsibilities

• Designs, deploys, and optimizes cloud-based data solutions.
• Architects migration strategies for on-premises to cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Evaluates cloud-native services for storage, processing, and analytics.
• Optimizes for performance, scalability, cost, and federal compliance (FedRAMP, FISMA).

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• US Citizen to meet contract requirements.
• Successfully completed a government-issued background investigation.

Qualifications

• Expertise in designing and deploying cloud-based data solutions.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and cloud-native services.
• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance standards (FedRAMP, FISMA).

Skills

• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in data architecture and analytics.
• Ability to manage large-scale data processing and distribution infrastructure.

Pay

The salary offered will depend on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity, business needs, and other factors permitted by law.
