We are seeking a Data Center Team Leader to oversee specialized technical operations, leveraging deep, hands-on data center experience to protect clients' most valuable digital assets.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and inspect the work performed by engineering staff to ensure completion, equipment functionality, and optimal client space conditions.
- Review monthly service request summaries to identify and address recurrent operational problems.
- Formulate and implement a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems.
- Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and meets client-prescribed environmental conditions.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials for repairs, and maintain an inventory of supplies and tools.
- Assist the team with complex repairs, emergencies, and preventive maintenance.
- Apply advanced knowledge to develop improved methods for individual and department objectives.
- Demonstrate expertise in your discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job functions within the organization.
- Coach others to develop expertise across most or all areas of the function.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Anticipate objections and persuade senior stakeholders with divergent interests to adopt new perspectives.
- Impact customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education may substitute for a diploma.
- Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Willingness to challenge existing solutions and explore new perspectives.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.
- Ability to impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
- Capability to work within broad guidelines and policies.
- Proficiency in coaching others and sharing in-depth knowledge of your discipline and related functions.
- Skill in building consensus and convincing others to reach agreements.
