Data Center Superintendent

About the role

Data Center Superintendent (Electrical Contractor) – Contract to Hire position based out of Port Washington, WI. Oversee field operations on large-scale data center electrical construction projects, managing daily construction activities, coordinating field crews and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring quality workmanship. This is a fully onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day electrical construction activities on data center projects.
• Supervise foremen, electricians, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work sequencing.
• Drive project schedules and ensure milestone completion.
• Conduct daily planning meetings and coordinate with project management teams.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Enforce OSHA, NFPA 70E, client, and company safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and productivity concerns.
• Coordinate inspections, energization activities, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower tracking, and progress updates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical construction experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience on data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and project scheduling.
• Ability to lead large field crews in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
• Preferred: OSHA 30 Certification.
• Preferred: Experience with commissioning, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and medium-voltage installations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, and construction management software.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
