Data Center Sr Program Manager, GPU and AI Deployments
Role Purpose
The Senior Program Manager – GPU & AI Infrastructure Deployments is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of high-density compute and AI infrastructure deployments across the Americas (AMS) region. This is an external-facing role that works closely with Sales and customers to shape opportunities, initiate projects, and deliver complex GPU and accelerator deployments at scale. The role bridges technical fluency in modern AI hardware with disciplined project execution, ensuring deployments are safely executed, technically correct, and repeatable.
Primary Responsibilities
Project & Program Leadership
Lead multiple concurrent GPU and AI infrastructure deployment projects from pursuit support through project closeout.
Partner with Sales during pre-award and early engagement phases to shape scope, assumptions, timelines, and delivery models.
Serve as the primary project interface for customers, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and execution confidence.
Establish and manage project plans, milestones, risk registers, change control, and delivery governance.Technical Delivery Oversight
Provide hands-on leadership for deployments involving GPUs, accelerators, and high-density compute infrastructure.
Translate design documentation into executable field plans, with accountability for interconnection quality, sequencing, and validation.
Oversee rack integration, structured cabling, fiber and MPO connectivity, labeling, port mapping, validation, and turnover readiness.
Ensure deployments align with OEM requirements and non-standard or bespoke architectures as required.Onsite Team & Vendor Leadership
Stand up and lead onsite deployment teams across AMS markets, including internal resources and qualified partners.
Ensure adequate staffing coverage, field leadership presence, and safe execution during intensive deployment windows.
Enforce quality control checkpoints and in-flight validation to prevent downstream errors or rework.Quality, Safety & Risk Management
Ensure all work is executed in accordance with CBRE’s safety standards and site-specific requirements.
Partner with safety and technical teams to complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), risk reviews, and method validations.
Maintain disciplined documentation, asset tracking, and turnover packages suitable for customer acceptance.Business & Relationship Development
Support growth of GPU and AI deployment services by contributing practical delivery insight during pursuits and customer discussions.
Build trusted relationships with customers, OEMs, internal stakeholders, and delivery partners.
Identify opportunities to standardize, industrialize, and improve deployment models as demand scales.
Required Technical Knowledge
Strong working knowledge of GPU and AI compute platforms, including: NVIDIA GPU-based systems and architectures, AMD GPU-based systems and high-density compute environments, and Google TPU-based accelerator platforms.
Understanding of high-density rack builds, power and thermal considerations, and interconnect complexity.
Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber (including MPO), transceivers, network connectivity, and validation practices.
Ability to engage credibly with customer technical teams and OEM representatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred.
8+ years of experience leading complex technical projects, preferably in data center, IT infrastructure, or high-density compute environments.
Proven experience managing field execution teams and delivering technically complex deployments on tight timelines.
Strong customer-facing skills with experience partnering with Sales and business development teams.
PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Compensation
The minimum salary for the Data Center Sr Program Manager is $225,000 annually and the maximum salary is $250,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
