About the role

AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. This role oversees contract security staff and daily security operations for AWS data centers, ensuring air-tight security measures to protect customer data and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee contract security staff and daily security operations.
  • Manage data center security, including access control, visitor management, and CCTV systems.
  • Coordinate with security vendors and maintain security equipment through regular inspections and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Maintain availability for emergency response and monitor security system functionality.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPIs and improvement plans, ensuring protocol adherence by all personnel.
  • Investigate security incidents, provide notifications, and develop relationships with law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Involvement in emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
  • Generate security incident reports and prepare presentations for business partners.
  • Support internal security evaluations and ensure compliance with corporate security standards.
  • Identify security-related opportunities and develop innovative security solutions.
  • Manage facility access badge issuance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on physical security design and implementation of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV Surveillance systems.
  • 2+ years of experience identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans.
  • 2+ years of workflow experience.
  • 1+ years of fraud/risk investigations experience.

Pay

Base salary range: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD annually for this position in Frederick, MD.
