About the role

The Data Center Operations Security Program Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the physical security program across one or more data-center campuses. This role ensures the protection of personnel, critical infrastructure, customer assets, and information by establishing standardized security policies, operational procedures, compliance controls, and risk-management frameworks aligned with industry standards and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, own, and maintain the enterprise physical security program for data-center operations
  • Establish standardized security policies, procedures, and operational playbooks across all sites
  • Define security governance frameworks aligned with industry standards
  • Oversee day-to-day physical security operations including access control, surveillance, and guard services
  • Implement and manage access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and monitoring platforms
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat modeling
  • Lead security incident investigations and corrective action planning
  • Support audits, customer assurance activities, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage security vendors, contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics
  • Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs
  • Establish KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in physical security or risk management
  • Experience managing multi-site security programs
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems and technologies
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications preferred
  • Experience in data-center, colocation, or hyperscale environments preferred
  • Familiarity with SOC 1/2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and NIST frameworks preferred
  • Experience managing large security vendors and contracts preferred
