Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, along with driving site-level development of programs and initiatives.
  • Incorporate domain expertise and experience to deliver an improved data center design to optimize equipment and operations for next generation data centers.
  • Lead the strategy and ongoing operation of Google’s growing portfolio of data centers within the area.
  • Lead the large-scale electrical and cooling infrastructure operations of the data center campuses within the area.
  • Drive new greenfield site turn-up within the area including hiring, coaching, and team building.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, 12 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure and components, 3 years of experience in developing and managing managers.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience, experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards, knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment, excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Pay

US: $205000 - $286000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
